Electronics Engineering

Welcome to Department of Electronics Engineering.

The department of Industrial Electronics Engineering was established in 1988 with intake capacity of 60 students with MSBTE, Mumbai as a controlling authority for curriculum and examinations for strengthening quality of technical education. Government Polytechnic Mumbai was awarded Autonomy for curriculum and examinations in 1994. In 2006, the department renamed as Electronics Engineering Department. In 2010, second shift was started with intake capacity of 60 students. The department will strive to achieve excellence in education so as to enable students to establish themselves as world-class technicians and practicing engineer. The department has vibrant infrastructure and with advanced labs in the field of microcontroller, embedded system and communication systems etc. to empower them with the proficiency and knowledge required to excel in the dynamic field of Electronics and Technology to pursue higher education. It also imparts technical knowledge and skills to students towards continuous improvement in education and placement and prepare the students to meet the challenges in the technical advancement to serve the community.

Programme Outcomes (POs)

• PO-1 Basic & Discipline specific knowledge: apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals & engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
• PO-2 Problem analysis: Identify & analyse well defined Engineering problems using codified standard methods.
• PO-3 Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well defined technical problems & assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
• PO-4 Engineering Tools, Experimentation & testing: Apply modern engineering tools & appropriate technique to conduct standard test & measurements.
• PO-5 The engineering practices and society sustainability & environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability environment & ethical practices.
• PO-6 Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects & effectively communicate about well defined engineering activities.
• PO-7 Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs & engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

• PSO1 – Electronic Circuit Design and Troubleshooting
  Apply knowledge of electronic devices, analog and digital circuits to design and simulate electronic systems for industrial, communication, and consumer applications.
• PSO2 – Embedded Systems and Communication Technology
  Develop and maintain embedded systems using microcontrollers, IoT, and relevant tools.
• PSO3 – Technical Execution and Industry Preparedness
  Demonstrate proficiency in using modern tools for testing, maintenance, documentation, and project execution, with effective communication, teamwork.
