Computer Engineering

Welcome to Department of Computer Engineering.

Department of Computer Engineering was established in year 1992 with intake of 60 students. Department offers 3 year Diploma in Computer Engineering. Department also runs Minority shift with intake of 60 students which was started in year 2011. Both shifts are running Sandwich pattern Diploma in Computer Engineering.

Curriculum is well designed with the help of industry experts and senior academicians. Courses are offered in perfect hierarchical manner and include extensive practical sessions. The department has good infrastructure with well-established laboratories. The department has experienced and dedicated faculties who give personal attention to each and every individual student. The department emphasises on effective teaching learning process including project based learning using modern tools and technologies. Department is working hard to improve upon the quality of education and the students overall performance in the era of rapidly changing technology.

Programme Outcomes (POs)

1. Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.
2. Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.
3. Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.
4. Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.
5. Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.
6. Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.
7. Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.

• PSO1: Professional Skills:  Develop computer software and applications in the areas related to database, multimedia, web and networking for efficient design of computer systems.
• PSO2: Problem-Solving Skills: Apply standard practices and strategies in software development, assembling, testing operations, maintenance and troubleshooting of computer systems. Provide effective and efficient real time solutions using acquired knowledge in various domains.
• PSO3: Career and Entrepreneurship:  Employ modern computer technologies for creating innovative career paths to be an entrepreneur or approaches for higher studies.
